Introducing TARA — A New Chapter in Art & Trust
Tangerine Art Space began in 2007, founded by Leena Chethan — then a rank newcomer, with no background, no godfather, and no familial lineage in the art world. Just curiosity, persistence, and an instinctive love for artists and their work. Nearly two decades later, it felt right to evolve — not to erase that beginning, but to refine it. To become lighter on our feet, sharper in our thinking, and more attuned to a new generation that speaks fluently in images, conversations, and digital worlds. Thus, Tara Art was born.
Tara Art is a labour of love — for art, for artists, and for the ecosystem that sustains them. We may be a small spoke in a very large wheel, but we stand here because of something invaluable: trust.

Trust placed in us by collectors from different corners of the world; collaborations that emerged through shared work or sheer serendipity (we’re still unsure which); and people who crossed our paths and quietly changed the course of our lives. Today, we are here to advise, consult, sell, buy, swap, learn, and — just as importantly — to talk art.
Whether you are a new collector, standing exactly where we once stood, or a seasoned one looking to refine and consolidate, we’re happy to help. And where you might find us lacking the kind of sophistication that tips into snootiness — often the hallmark of luxury — we’ll gladly own that too. In a world of big brands, Tara Art is deliberately small, artisanal, and personal. We believe art is not meant to intimidate, but to invite. And our door, very much, remains open.
